Traci's 'World Traveler' Baby Shower

This past weekend, we celebrated the upcoming arrival of Traci's baby - Eli James - with a World Traveller themed baby shower. It was a fun morning to shower Traci with lots of fun things to help her get ready for Eli.

The entry way displayed a canvas I put together with pictures

of Eli's mommy and daddy and their world travels.

The sign says, "Welcome to our world Eli James."

A game we played was "Baby Scattergories."

I made the cards with things like: "A boy's name," "A Baby Brand Name,"

"Something Babies Wear," and "A Nursery Rhyme."

Everyone had to use the letter "W" for Eli's last name.

I Love You, Lord!

Jonathan sings this song with Brayden every night before bed, and tonight I was lucky enough to catch it on camera. There is NO video...it's just black. But you can hear audio of him singing the song "I love You, Lord." It's one of my all-time favorite moments.

Brayden's 1st Steps!!!

Today, Brayden took his much anticipated first steps! Every day we try, but he was just not interested in attempting it. Today was MUCH different. We set him down on the floor, and he took 2 steps at first. So we moved into the living room to try some more. He was SO eager and excited to try and succeed at finally walking! We are so proud!

Our 6 Year Anniversary

Jonathan and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary on the 20th! It's hard to believe it's already been six amazing years! We went down to Kemah Boardwalk to celebrate. We had dinner, rode the ferris wheel and wooden rollercoaster, ate ice cream, and watched the sunset. It was a really fun night together.

Jonathan whipped out the video camera right after dinner to capture a moment. He always makes me laugh...

CRAWLING!!!

Brayden started CRAWLING this week! He is constantly on the move now. Jonathan had this little remote control car that he got from a youth ministry party, and so he pulled it out to see if Brayden would be into it. It was so funny...Brayden chased that thing as fast as he could. Check it out...

DaDa

Tonight, as I was getting Brayden ready for bed, he said, "DaDa!" He said it over and over again. It was precious!!! Here's a quick clip...

Rascal Flatts concert at the Houston Rodeo

Last night, we got to head down to the Houston Rodeo for opening night and the Rascal Flatts concert! Some friends - Gina & Tom - invited us to go with them, and we were so excited to hang out with them as well as get to see Rascal Flatts (a band I have always wanted to see in concert). The rodeo was fun (the calf scramble w/ all the kids is my favorite), and the concert was great! Luckily, Brayden enjoyed it too...check out the video of him jamming to the music:

I've Got You, Babe!

For Valentines, one of the things Jonathan got me was a big "singing balloon." When you tap the balloon, it begins playing the song, "I've Got You, Babe." I loved it, but Brayden wasn't too sure about it. Check out his reaction...

Christmas in SLC

This year, we got to spend Christmas in Salt Lake City, Utah with Jonathan's family. We had such a great time with them...even with our luggage missing our flight only to be delivered an entire day later! We got to meet our new nephew - Harrison Michael Gray. Brayden and Harrison are just a little over a month apart, and it was so fun to see the 2 babies play together!

We were so glad the whole family got to be there - Jonathan's parents - Grayma (Dixie) & Graydaddy (Mike), Michael & Heidi with their son Harrison, Jared & Erin (& dog Zoe), & Philip.

We got lots of snow while we were there. On Christmas day, we woke up to snow swirling outside the entire day. After it was done falling, there was about a foot of snow outside the house. The White Christmas was definitely one to remember!
