Girl Time!

Girl time at the wedding rehearsal
with my sisters-in-law, Heidi & Erin

One thing, Dixie, my mother-in-law, has gotten me into is going to TEA! It is so fun...I wish we had afternoon tea more often here in the U.S. We had the great treat of going to the Grand America Hotel for afternoon tea.

Me, Heidi, & Jana at tea

The girls! (We missed you, Erin!)
While the girls enjoyed tea, the boys shook
the helicopter leaves from trees. Oh, boys!

Buddies

Brayden had SO much fun with his cousin, Harrison, while we were in Salt Lake City. Here's a few pictures to recap the fun time together...

Chillin' out at the wedding...
I see a common theme here...
They wanted to hang out in the grass like this too.

Philip & AJ's Wedding

This past week, we headed out to Salt Lake City for Jonathan's younger brother's wedding. It was such a great time to get together with family and to see Phee and AJ get married. It was an eventful week, with Erin (Jonathan's sister) almost going into labor (at 33 weeks) on the day of the wedding...unfortunately, this kept her from the wedding. We were so sad she had to miss it, but we're praying for a healthy remainder of the pregnancy. The wedding was beautiful. Luckily, the rain held off until the very end of the wedding. AJ was a stunningly beautiful bride. They were so cute together in their matching Converse shoes (see picture below). We're so happy for them as they begin their lives together in marriage!

I was SO proud of him...he lasted through the WHOLE wedding.
This was a first for us. I think it helped having Daddy to watch on stage.

Sprinklers!!!

We got this new water toy that hooks up to the hose and sprays out water in all directions. We set it up in our backyard for an exciting time of playing in the water that we were just sure Brayden would LOVE.

Before the water came on...
he wasn't sure what to expect.
We turned on the water a bit too high, unintentionally,
and expected him to just run right through with such excitement.
Not happening...
Poor kid did NOT like it.
He'll warm up to it this summer, I'm sure.
We turned the water down a bit,
and he started to like it a bit more.
Now that's the look of enjoyment I was going for!
Cracks me up!!!

Pretzel Time!

Pretzels has become the occasional snack that Brayden enjoys. He has also begun to love to hide things and make me guess where they went. He usually just puts the thing behind his back and then shows me where it went. This time, however, he discovered he could hide a pretzel down his shirt...

This is how it went. I see him put a pretzel down his shirt. He starts looking for it and laughing because he 'hid' it. He keeps looking down his shirt. I go over there to help him get the pretzel, and it is not down his shirt. I look on the floor...not there. I look ALL OVER and can't find the pretzel he stuck down his shirt. WEIRD!
Finally...found the pretzel.
See it...it's in the fold of his shorts. HA!
Here it is!

Off to the Zoo

Off to the zoo again...our little guy is getting taller by the day! He's catching up to those giraffes...who are some of his favorite animals to see. He is always so amazed by them.

Sweet boy!
Yes, that is his face when he saw the giraffes.
Priceless.
Some of our good friends went with us to the zoo.
Meredith & baby Jett...accompanied by
the goat in the petting zoo.
There's a tunnel to get to this spot...we thought it would be no big deal. The guys would take the little boys in there to get a photo op...it's "inside" the groundhog area. They said they had to crawl on their backs down this long tunnel (dragging the babies) to get up to this spot. Ha! It was worth the sacrifice for the great photo op...thanks, guys!

Painting Adventures

It's always nice to find fun activities to do with your kids...and especially nice to find ones that are FREE! You know me...I love a good deal! We found a paint-your-own-pottery store in the mall that has a story & craft time for the kids each week. Brayden and I went with our friends Kasey & Priya (remember this post), and the kids had such a fun time! Painting is ALWAYS a fun activity...because it gets on your hands, which to my little guy, is a BLAST!

Priya & Kasey - SO sweet!
ALL DONE! Check out those paint-covered hands!
