Let's Slide!

Today, we went to a birthday party for a friend's son at Tin Roof BBQ. They have a great play space outside for the kids, so Brayden got to experience his first time on a slide. He was kind of unsure at first what to think about it, but then he kept trying to take off down the slide on his "own." Looks like we'll be having fun heading to the park when the weather warms up a bit!

Pulling Up

This week has been unreal! Brayden is learning new 'skills' everyday! I set him in his crib to play with some toys, and the next thing I know, he is pulling himself up on his knees. He was having a blast too. He is loving this new world of mobility!

I've Got You, Babe!

For Valentines, one of the things Jonathan got me was a big "singing balloon." When you tap the balloon, it begins playing the song, "I've Got You, Babe." I loved it, but Brayden wasn't too sure about it. Check out his reaction...

The Blue Bin

Brayden has really been getting into his toys lately! He loves to play! He can now sit for a good amount of time and just entertain himself with his brightly colored "chewable" toys. (I say "chewable," because that is what inevitably happens with each toy in sight!) I usually pull out a few toys for him to play with at a time, but he is now discovering the blue bin that holds the rest of the toys in the living room! It's pretty funny how intrigued he is with the blue bin. He always wants to get into it and turn it over, because who wouldn't want all their toys dumped out! It's more to play with!!!

Valentines Day

For Valentines Day this year, Jonathan and I got to go out to one of our favorite restaurants - Sambuca. It is an amazing restaurant downtown with live music every night. We left Brayden with a babysitter, and we headed out for a nice evening out. Jonathan was so sweet and gave me beautiful flowers, a 'musical balloon' (who knew!), chocolates (yum!), and a gift certificate for a massage! He is such an amazing husband who constantly encourages me to know the Lord more and loves me more than I could ever ask for! I love him so much and am so lucky to call him my husband!

Officially on the Move!

Today, Brayden was sitting in his crib playing, and the next thing I know, he's moved over to pulling up on the bumpers! Agghhh!!! No way! My little boy is on the move! He did this several times...I would sit him up, then he would roll over and push himself up on the side of his crib. I whipped out my phone to capture this 'moment.' (It's not the greatest pic, but I had to catch him on the move!)

Crib Time

Brayden is almost 7 months old...WOW! He is now sleeping in his crib "full-time," and he loves it! It has been so great now that he is eating solids and only taking 2 long naps (instead of 3) each day. He seems to sleep much better at night and wakes up super-happy most mornings. This pic was taken a few mornings ago...I admit, I did "set him up" here...he isn't climbing up his crib yet. He's pretty close to being able to do this though. It's time to drop his mattress in his bed one notch, Dad!
