Michael's Wild Wings Party

My good friend, Whitney, just planned her hubby's 30th birthday party. It was a surprise, so the party planning was super secretive. She pulled it off without a hitch though! It was so fun getting to help her put this party together, and it turned out SO great! It was a Buffalo Wild Wings style party, and the party printables were from Intrigue Design Group on Etsy.

Building Cars with Daddy

Jonathan took Brayden to the Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic again to build a car. He's done it once before and loved it. It was a hit yet again! The next weekend, he headed to the Kid's Workshop at Home Depot...and guess what they built? A car! So, we have two new, very cool, cars that Brayden loves racing around.

Battle wounds...

Now on to Home Depot...his car
there was a nice Home Depot orange.
All done...and somewhat captivated by an orange light.
Hmmmm....it was a fun morning w/ Daddy!

It's a Zoo Day!

Recently, we made an afternoon trip to the zoo. It was such a beautiful day! We were excited because the zoo has a new exhibit open with rhinos, ostriches, and chimps. Brayden thought it was so cool seeing all the birds...go figure...we're at the zoo w/ all these exotic animals, and he loves the birds. Ha! He did say his favorite animals of the day were the zebras and rhinos. We had lots of fun!

He loved petting the goats in the petting zoo... (poor goat!)
...but needed a little help with being gentle.
Ummmm...the bear seems a little lost.
Aren't they supposed to stay up top!!!
On the playground during this trip to the zoo...
...same place, but when he was only 10 months old!

DIY Pudding Pops

I can't remember where I first saw this idea, but it is super easy and makes for a fun do-it-yourself version of a popsicle. First, get some vanilla pudding and prepare it according to the package directions. Next, divide it into 3 bowls. Make it 3 different colors with food coloring, then layer it in small plastic or Dixie cups. Put a popsicle stick in the center of the cup, and put it in the freezer. When frozen, take it out and set cup in a bowl of warm water to release the popsicle from the cup mold. Enjoy...it's a super yummy treat!

He sure did enjoy it...he wanted to
put it all in his mouth at first. Ha!
He liked how it smeared all over his face too.
Oh, to be a kid again!

Oscars Party

I love the Academy Awards! To celebrate, we had a bunch of friends over to watch the show. It was a great night with some great friends and good food, and we even had our own red carpet!

Everyone filled out a ballot, and the winner got a prize!
Labels and from Hostess with the Mostess
Napkins folded like envelopes and wrapped with labels
that said "And the winner is..." and "The envelope please..."
All the cups had printable circle labels on them with
each of the categories up for an Oscar.
My cup said "Best Actress"...I like to pretend!
Jonathan and I had to "walk the red carpet"
before the awards began...and yes, we dressed the part!
In the entryway, I made a canvas with all the
Best Picture nominees displayed for everyone
to decide who they thought would win.
Caramel popcorn...yummmm!
Photo props from Lil Blue Boo, which always make for fun photos

Splish Splash

I told him if it rained that day, we'd both put on our rain boots and go out and play in the puddles. It rained a little...enough to warrant a little puddle splashing. Lots of fun...

While out in the puddles, he became
mesmerized by the birds overhead.
