Trip to the Blueberry Farm

I have always wanted to pick my food...apples, berries, you name it. But I have never gotten to do it. Living in Texas, there just aren't that many farms or orchards around that grow things for you to come and pick. This year, though, I've found one! And who knew it was just a few minutes from us! A couple friends of mine and our kids headed out to Moorehead's Blueberry Farm to pick blueberries. Even though it was scorching hot, it was so much fun!

DIY Heroes Kit for Fathers Day

For Father's Day, I wanted to put together a special 'kit' for Jonathan with lots of goodies that let him know what a hero he was to Brayden. I found this great idea at Oh Happy Day with free printables to put together your own Hero Kit. I pulled together some of Jonathan's favorite snacks into his very own Daddy Hero Kit.

Beach Retreat 2011

This past week, we headed to Orange Beach, Alabama for our High School Beach Retreat. We had 2,000 high school students and leaders from our church on the beach for a week. It was an incredible week, and we really saw God do some awesome things in the lives of teenagers!

We picked a wall in our condo and throughout the week, we put up

verses, prayer requests, and things that God did throughout the week.

Memorial Day

It was a super relaxing day. The calm comes before the storm, I guess...haha. This week has been a whirlwind since a nice relaxing day on Monday as we gear up and get ready for a week at Beach Retreat - our summer camp with our high school students. We loved getting to take some time off and spend the day at the Chriswell's pool with some great friends and family.
