It amazes me to think that in just a few short weeks, our lives will be changing in more ways than we could imagine! It is an exciting change...a new life...but one that also brings uncertainty but definite anticipation. Our little boy, Brayden Brooks, is "scheduled" to arrive around July 10th...but we'll see when he decides that he wants to make his appearance into this world. It would be nice if he could "schedule" that a little after Beach Retreat...ha!...but we'll see! God has a sense of humor in all of this, and I can't help but laugh at the timing and how it all could pan out with Jonathan making a mad-dash back on the freeway from Gulf Shores...We even have a "baby horn" for them to blow from the headquarters condo, so he can know "IT'S TIME!!!" while mid-game playing volleyball out on the white sand beaches of Alabama!!! Let's hope baby Brayden can hold off 'til the buses pull back into Houston!
It is so amazing though to see his growth in my ever-expanding belly...but I am constantly amazed at how God has created this new life inside...how could anyone ever question God's existence or creative power and design!?! It amazes me every time I begin to try to wrap my mind around it.
So, as we wait...we'll keep you updated on the growth of this baby boy. He is well on his way...and we can't wait to meet him!!!

Selfishly, Heidi and I are crossing our fingers for a July 10 birthday. You see, our other nephew is a July 10 baby, and we think we could really save time and energy shopping for birthday presents in one trip.

Yeah for the new blog! It was so good to see you guys while we were in H-town. We can't wait to see pics of little B. I'm hoping for July 5th so I can share a birthday with the little dude. :)
